An LAN Argentina Airbus A320 jet suffered a nosegear collapse in the early morning hours last week (May 1st) at Benitez Airport in Santiago, Chile.

The plane was stationary and it is unknown why the nosegear failed.

There were no passengers on board the aircraft.

No one was hurt.

Damage is reported to be substantial but repairable.
