An Ilyushin IL-76 operated by Kapo – Gorbunova cargo took out approach and runway lights on landing at Novokuznetsk airport on Friday

According to reports the plane landed some 220 feet short of the runway and in doing so destroyed 12 approach and runway lights

None of the crew were injured and the planes incurred landing gear damage

The cause is under investigation The weather was reported as good at the time of the incident.
